Observations from wave basin experiments and wave-resolving numerical simulations demonstrate the effect of wave-current interaction on shear stress around a sandy mound. show that mound deformation rate morphological patterns depend mixture waves currents in incident flow conditions. A SWASH nonhydrostatic model was used to expand parameter space conditions observed flume characterize response near-bed The validated with observations wave-alone, current-alone, tests then ran for suite which isolate impact ratio energy bed stress. Results how current-to-wave impacts spatial heterogeneity across mound, region intensification location peak becoming asymmetric more mixed flows. These results nonlinear combined flows these may eventual sediment transport evolution.
